United just squeezed past City to be in 4th round of FA Cup

With the excitement to Paul Scholes coming out of retirement and also talk of United getting revenge over their noisy neighbours, I was expecting a really feisty and hotly contested 3rd round FA Cup at the Etihad Stadium. Well I surely got what I bargained for and I think more.

United eventually won 3-2 but only after holding off a second half comeback from City. United lead at half time with goals from Rooney (with badge kissing celebration), Welbeck and a Rooney penalty. City then came back after the interval through a Kolorov freekick and an opportunist goal by Aguerro.

Paul Scholes made his second debut on the 60th minute and I thought his introduction adversely affected United. It was not the game that he should be introduced but that was my thought only. I also think that Rio and Jones kinda are carrying injuries or something because they were really bad.

End of the day, job done eventhough I would've like to see payback. Let's just see who awaits us in the 4th round.

P/s: Did anyone see how Beckham was jealous to see Scholes get the chance to play again?

Paul Scholes comes out of retirement to boost United

Sir Alex Ferguson has sensationally named United legend, Paul Scholes on the bench for todays FA Cup 3rd round clash against Manchester City. 

The long injury list and also that United have been lacking a creative force in their squad has persuaded Sir Alex to ask the Ginger Prince, Ginger Maestro, the White Pele or whatever you want to call him to come out of retirement. Scholesy is ever-present at Carrington as a coach of the United's reserve team and has always been open saying he regretted his decision to retire when the season started.

Although the stakes are against United against the noisy neighbours, hopefully the return of the Ginger Prince would boost the lads at United.
