Mavs are the NBA Champions after beating the Heat in Game 6

The Dallas Mavericks are the new NBA Champions after winning game 6 of the NBA Finals over the Miami Heat. The Mavs were led bt the Finals MVP, Dirk Nowitzki.

The Miami Heat lead by LeBron James had come back from a 2-0 deficit and tied the Finals at 2-2 before the Mavs took games 5 & 6 to clinch the title. The Heat were banking on their three superstars LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to lead them to another title after the heroics of Wade and Shaq in 2006.

German, Dirk Nowitzki was selected as the Finals MVP after a great showing throughout the Finals which included a sprained ankle and fever. The win by the Mavs also sees vetaran point guard, Jason Kidd picking up his first championship ring after failing to do so with the New Jersey Nets.
