Before Angry Birds, we had The Penguins

The younger generation or "Angry Bird" generation might not identify with this toy. I had this when I was growing up in Taiping, my brother had his when he was growing up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. What am I talking about? It is the one and only The Penguin Race.

Over the weekend, came across one during grocery shopping. Nabbed one, well to be precise the wife nabbed one. Her excuse it was for Kaisan but I knew the real reason. She wanted it for herself and has been blabbering about it for a long time.

Got the toy, brought it back home and assembled it. Surprise,surprise, Kaisan was mesmerised by it. Captured a video of him being struck with the awesomeness of the Penguins. Enjoy.

Tablet PC mana yang patut di beli?

Dah lama survey market tablet PC ni. Yang popular semestinya Apple iPad dan iPad2, diikuti rapat Samsung Galaxy Tab. Ada juga contender lain seperti Blackberry Playbook, HP Touchpad dan Motoral Xoom.


Tapi aku dah shortlist kepada 4 tablets yang aku rasa leading market sekarang ni. Cuma sekarang sebab tak pernah ada personal experience dengan tablet-tablet ni susah sikitlah nak pilih.


Aku nak cari tablet yang sesuai untuk blogging, browsing dan boleh buat kerja sikit-sikit. Plus point dan advantage kalau tablet yang mudah transfer files dan connectivity macam bluetooth.

Nokia menang saman hakcipta terhadap Apple

Nokia akhirnya berjaya menang dalam saman paten hakcipta terhadap Apple selepas pertama kali mengemukakan saman pada tahun 2010. Nokia menyaman Apple kerana penggunaan teknologi transmisi data dan teknologi antenna pada produknya. Penggunaan teknologi ini di katakan melanggar paten hakcipta Nokia.

Saman pertama Nokia telah memihak kepada Apple apabila hakim ITC memberi keputusan bahawa dia tiada nampak tiada penyalagunaan hakcipta oleh pengeluar iPhone ini. Nokia seterusnya mengemukakan saman kedua beberapa hari kemudian yang berjaya memihak kepada syarikat gergasi dari Finland ini.

Di antara perjanjian kewangan di antara dua syarikat ini ialah Apple perlu membayar bayaran satu kali dan bayaran royalti kepada Nokia yang akan di bayar dari masa ke semasa.

Keputusan ini membuktikan bahawa Intelligence Property (IP) adalah amat penting dalam industri wireless. Pada Nokia, ini akan dapat membantu gergasi yang sedikit ketinggalan ini untuk mengukuhkan semula kedudukan dalam industri telefon mobil.

Siapa sangka game yang simple ini boleh buat jadi fenomena di seluruh dunia? Jalan cerita Angry Birds senang aje, telur-telur Angry Birds di curi babi-babi khinzir jahat. Btw, aku baru tahu beza antara khinzir jahat dengan yang baik ialah yang jahat warna hijau, color lain khinzir baik. So, kalau jumpa khinzir hijau, hati-hati okay! Angry Birds pulak nak dapatkan balik telur-telur tu sambil membelasah babi hijau yang jahat tu.

Taktik Angry Birds senang aje. Kill the green bad pigs! Kill! Kill! Kill! Die! Die! Die! Ok Bo, get hold of yourself...1..2..3..pheww. Getting back to the game, babi-babi hijau ini pulak employ akitek mana entah untuk bina tempat sembunyi yang memang payah nak tembus. Kena pecahkan kaca, kayu dan batu untuk bunuh babi jahat tu. Our aim is untuk bunuh babi jahat ni samada direct hit (tuju tepat) atau guna binaan sekeliling.

Ada banyak levels atau peringkat dalam Angry Birds dan lagi tinggi peringkat, lagi susah untuk bunuh babi hijau yang memang celaka itu. Ada ke patut curi telur-telur burung-burung tu? Ada ke patut? 


Kita akan mendapat 1,2 atau 3 bintang bergantung kepada berapa banyak Angry Birds kita guna. Ada 5 jenis Angry Birds. Warna merah hanya biasa saja, warna biru bersize kecil boleh split 3, warna kuning boleh pergi laju macam misil, burung putih melahirkan telur meletup dan burung hitam meletup macam bom.

Kita di beri satu set burung pada permulaan level dan kena ada strategy untuk bunuh babi-babi hijau tu. Damn those green pigs! Guna setiap Angry Bird sebaik mungkin, collect stars dan juga high score. Simple. Marvellous. Awesome!!

Overall, satu game yang bagus untuk release tension (tapi tension juga kalau tak lepas levels), grafik memang colourful dan simple. Struktur binaan memang hancur realistikly. Audio gameplay memang kelakar dengan bunyi-bunyian yang buat kita tergelak. Contohnya, kalau kita tak dapat bunuh babi hijau tu, kita di gelakkan oleh babi hijau. Gila tak best kena gelak dengan babi hijau yang jahat itu. Memang Angry Birds by Rovio game yang best tetapi hati-hati, it can be addictive!

Hari ini selepas satu meeting yang amat bertuah & berbaloi dengan kawan lama, aku pergi buat retail therapy untuk diri aku. 


Kebetulan Nokia E71 aku pun sudah cecah expiry date sebagai main phone.

Korang pernah dengar satu english phrase " Once you go black, you won't go back" kan? Haa, ini buktinya phrase tu salah. Boleh come back, tapi jadi putihlah macam Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G aku ni.

Mana nak cari Penguin Race toy ni?

Selamat pagi! 

Semalam memang sibuk betul sampai tak boleh update apa-apa walaupun banyak benda aku rasa nak update. Kerja, rumah dan study untuk exam yang tak lama lagi memang banyak amik masa aku.

Ini aku nak tanya pada yang sudi menjawab. Mana nak cari Playful Penguin Race toy ni? Masa kecik-kecik dulu aku ada lah, tapi sekarang mana ada dah. Aku tanya sebab aku nak beli untuk anak aku tu, si Kaisan. Saja menambahkan koleksi toys dia.

Kalau ada yang tak kenal toy ni, boleh tengok video ni.

So, kalau ada yang tahu mana aku boleh cari toy ni, silalah tinggalkan komen ye.

Apa?? Nak bagi saya Blackberry free?? Okay aje!

 

"Bo, this is your new BB. Please sync with e-mail. Enjoy!!" Itulah yang ada di atas meja saya pagi semalam. Terus hilang Monday blues. Kalau aku sendiri nak pergi beli Blackberry ni memang takdelah (setia kepada Nokia E71 ku). So, bila company bagi aku BB ni, ambil saja lah! Aku sebenarnya dah agak dah akan dapat memandangkan aku kerja company telco.

Model yang aku dapat ni Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G. Dapat pulak warna merah. Nice! Aku masih lagi jahil dengan BB ni. Applications yang aku dah download biasa-biasa aje macam Facebook, FourSquare, Opera Mini dan itu aje.

Aku akan explore lagi kebolehan Blackberry ni. So far, aku suka BB Messenger sebab its free and boleh buat conference. Oh yeah, aku guna pakej Celcom XPAX BB. Bukan sebab aku belot Tune Talk (insya'Allah, Tune Talk pun akan ada BBM service end of the year). Tapi sebab kalau ada BB tapi tak boleh pakai BBM apa cerita? Exactly! Tengoklah table bawah ini untuk pakej Celcom XPAX BB.

Nak activate pun senang aje kalau memang dah pengguna Xpax. Ikut aje instruction ni.

P/S: Blackberry lagi bagus dari iPhone in my eyes.

Isteriku menjadi pemilik notebook untuk kali pertama

Selepas 3 jam dekat Digital Mall Seksyen 14, akhirnya isteriku menjadi proud owner untuk kali pertama notebook HP Pavillon. Aku rasa deal yang dia dapat agak bagus. 2GB Ram, 320GB storage, HDMI port, 3 year worldwide HP warantee untuk harga bawak 2 ribu Ringgit. Good deal. 

Congrats sayang for owning your first notebook.

P/s : Takdelah alasan nak kacau guna notebook aku dah lepas ni..hehehe..

CEO Apple, Steve Jobs mempertahankan kelemahan iPhone 4 yang baru di lancarkan beberapa bulan lepas dalam satu sidang media di ibu pejabat Apple di Cuppertino, California. Apple berjaya menjual 3 juta iPhone 4 sejak ia di lancarkan.  Kelemahan edisi terbaru iPhone ini dimana talian akan terputus atau pengguna tidak boleh web surfing apabila iPhone 4 ini di pegang dalam cara tertentu. Pegangan ini kini di panggil "Deathgrip".

Ini kerana antena iPhone 4 ini terletak pada bucu bawah kiri. Design terbaru ini bertujuan untuk mengurangkan kesesakan dalam badan iPhone 4 itu tetapi telah menyebabkan penerimaan signal terganggu. Jobs mengatakan tiada telefon yang sempurna. Blackberry & HTC juga mempunyai kelemahan masing-masing.

Apple menawarkan casing plastik (bumper casing) yang dapat membantu mengelak reception terputus kepada pengguna yang tidak berpuas hati dan akan memulangkan semula duit kepada pengguna iPhone 4 yang inginkan semula wang kerana tidak berpuas hati dengan iPhone 4 mereka.

Lately, Digi has been aggressively promoting its iPhone 3GS. I think their ads are really effective because even I am contemplating of getting one for myself. Let me tell you that I never like the phone and only think of it as an accessory or fad item. I am more of a practical & " I only need the neccessary & practicality is the best" type of guy. Yeah, boring. My current phone is the Nokia E71. The E71 is practical, sturdy and so far for me, complete.

But lately, the variety types of applications that is available on the iPhone (seen on the Digi ads) has made me re-think my views on this Apple creation. The apps (from my short research) can range from the most incredible to the uttermost silly.

I am doing my research on how to get my hands on an affordable iPhone that would at least satisfy my curiosity on this supposedly great creation of Apple. Should I get a basic old generation version or go for the latest and break the bank while I'm at it? The hunt is still on.

Console Wars..PS3....Wii.....Xbox 360

Sejak PS2 aku dah tamat perkhidmatan (rosak sebab lanyak Winning Eleven je memanjang) dia tahun lepas, aku masih belum dapat mencari penggantinya. Mesti ada yang kata membazir aje beli benda nih, buang duit dan buang masa. Tapi pada view aku, kalau ada anak-anak saudara datang, bolehlah biar derang layan game dari memekak dan berlari-lari dalam rumah.

Berbalik pada tujuan asal aku letak posting nih. Aku tahu sikit-sikt aje kelebihan setiap console nih. Aku malas nak buat research sangat. Baik minta pandangan orang lain. Ini apa yang aku tahu:

Nintendo Wii

User interaction memang paling best sebab boleh detect body movement. Bagus untuk group and family activites.

Microsoft XBOX 360

Gambar cun. Saingan terdekat PS3. Pilihan game banyak.

Sony Playstation 3

Leader dalam game console sekarang rasanya. Gambar superb sebab guna Blu Ray technology.

Itu aje yang aku  tahu. Harga, senang atau tak dapat game dan ketahanan semua aku tak tahu. 

Nak mintak pendapat kawan-kawan blogger kalau ada yang ada info.....

Lotus F1 Classic Car

I won this beauty at The Tune Group 1st Inaugural Annual Dinner held at Modestos Hartamas last Friday. I am working with Tune Talk (www.tunetalk.com), so that explains me being there in the first place.There were 120 prizes on offer for the 130 Tune Group staff that attended the dinner. I was gunning for 1 of the 3 notebooks on offer, or even the iPhone 3GS. Heck, if I get the 50 inch LCD TV, I won't be complaining. Duhh..

But I knew somehow I will get this Lotus 38 car. Let me tell you a bit about this car.

There are only 1,200 pieces of this model made in the whole world. So, I feel a bit special because I am one of those lucky people. It's currently worth almost RM 2,000 and if I keep it in good condition, I can get more through auctioning it. It's apparently a collectors item.

This prize was given by the Lotus F1 Team Malaysia people. They were also there at the dinner as the team is also a part of the Tune Group Family headed by Dato Seri Tony Fernandez. He was also there during the dinner.
